Peanut Brittle
1 cup karo syrup
1/2 c water
2 c sugar
2 c raw peanuts
1/2 TBL butter
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking soda
Cook syrup, water and sugar to soft ball stage. Add
peanuts and continue cooking, stirring constantly until syrup turns a light
color and the mixture begins to thicken. Turn off heat, add butter, salt vanilla, and baking soda. Pour out onto a
greased (oil) cookie sheet. Let cool and then break apart.
This just made me want to make more holiday goodies!!
